My listing states 'Paypal only' and buyer now wanting to send a Postal Order

i am happy to accept uncrossed postal orders if it means an extra sale and NO paypal fees.
perhaps give them a deadline to send it by - that way if it fails to materialise you can do an NPB with no qualms whatsoever.0 -
I dont understand why you dont want to accept bank transfer? Its very quick, and can be done online.
For the others, I see where you're coming from, but bank transfers almost instant and it means no paypal fees for you!.
I accept cheques, postal orders and electronic means of payment eg: internet bank transfer, paypal etc...-Ill even accept cash in the post, though this is VERY risky for the buyer(The largest amount of cash through the post to me was £120)
The only annoying thing is that not many buyers will pay by such methods0 -
The only good thing about PO is no Paypal fees, I only accept Paypal or Postal Orders on my auctions and hardly ever get anyone paying with a Postal Order, it is a pain as they don't always send straightaway.
If they had a problem with Visa through Paypal, maybe ask them to ring Paypal and find out why they couldn't pay and see if it's something that could be sorted out in a day or two so they can pay that way.
Paypal is much better as it's instant and I like sending stuff out straightaway rather than it hanging around for a week or more.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
Buyer only wants to use PO, and I want to use Paypal- has messaged me and told me to relist and that there are others of the item I sold on ebay!
I am happy to cancel too, so set up a request, detailed problem and that we were both happy to cancel, awaiting them to ok or until their 7 days up (when I will close myself).
Thing is seller only has a few stars (not always a bad thing I know)- ok feedback this year but a big -ve comment just over a year ago.
When can I re-list ? Do I have to wait until case closed ?
Thanks for all the input/help people- this would not have happened if seller had read terms/made sure they could use paypal, but then that would be too easy lol

Had they asked before hand I would have said no, and they would not have bid!
Possibly because they didn't know they were going to have a problem with their paypal BEFORE they tried to pay for your item??Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??:mad:Debt Free as of September 2011 :jSealed Pot 2009 number 334 - £100 Saved! yey!!Sealed Pot 2010 number 334 - £116.51 Saved!
