whats the best phone available?

Im due for a free phone upgrade next month with O2.

Currently have the SE W800i

Current tariff is 400 anytime minutes and 1000 texts per month for £25

Anyone have any recommendations regarding the new phone or tariff improvements?

Go for a Samsung E900 - they are amazing!

nokia 6233 - if u like the 6230 or 6230i u will like this, the proceeder.. has everything a very good all rounder

se k800i 3.2mega pix cam , known to be best cam around, so if you like taking snaps this is one for you, awesome screen, good mp3

then you get the n series by nokia, but these require you to pay £100-£150 extra, so can be a bit much

If you are happy with ur current phone, you should look for which handset you can get for free that has the highest resale value.
I recently got a se W810i from o2.
I am happy with my current handset (Nokia N90) so i sold the W810i.
The amount it sold for (on ebay) paid for my full 12 months contract line rental and I had £12 left over
