HTC Magic - OK for Virgin?

My daughter had her phone stolen and she would like an HTC Magic as a replacement (unlocked, of course).

Is there any reason why this would not work with a Virgin SIM as the Virgin contract still has many months to run?

Thanks.

Andrew.
