There's an automated answer 'Welcome to Ikea X' and then options. You're put through to the call centre after this.

yes, ive called the Warrington one and spoken to someone in Warrington store.

Yes, I'd got a broken door on a billy bookcase so I called Warrington to check it was in (I'm mid way between Warrington and Brum so I usually double check).
She said it was showing on the computer as in stock but to hold and she would check the floor to save a wasted journey. She came back and said yes, we have them

As others have said, most of the items on special offer require you to scan your ikea family card at the till to get the discount. No card, then you pay full price. Thye have the cards in store though, so all you need to do is pick one up next time
