Last month, hubby and I stayed for 2 nights at Premier Travel Inn Leeds West One. It is located opposite the Elland Road Football Stadium and is next to a busy road M621, however the hotel is set back with excellent double-glazing and so you couldn't hear the traffic noise. It is a "Metro" hotel which means it has nicer rooms of large size, newly and tastefully decorated, aircon, fab shower, satellite tv, hairdryer which actually works well, restaurant/bar on ground floor, loads of car parking. We'd stay there again. Paid £50 per night.

Previously in July 2005 we stayed at the Travelodge Colton (near Sainsburys East Leeds) which was a different story! It's very basic and wouldn't believe it's only been built a few years. No restaurant/bar and limited car parking, retail park, pub and fast food outlets adjacent. On the A1/M1 link road. Got one of the £26 per night offers. Get what you pay for perhaps?
  • The price has won us over (even though I said I wasn't bothered in my first post!). We are staying in the Travelodge at Leeds/ Bradford Airport for £26. Whether we will stay in one again is another thing - we shall have to wait and see! Thanks for all your help!

Dont know if you have checked but there are really good deals on the travelodge website, if you book seven days in advance. Hit on the saver or supersaver button on the left hand side of the page. I have just booked a travelodge in covent garden for £26!!! and for 3 people!!!

I can recommend the Jurys Inn in Leeds centre. Nice, newly opened hotel. £43 per room if booked 30 days in advance. https://www.jurysinn.com

I would book the Travelodge for £26. Afterall all you need is a place to sleep, and for £26 you can't actually go wrong!
