Sorry this is wrong - depending on where you stay in Torremolinos it could be a short walk or a VERY long one and even longer when you are going back up the hill!!!
Why don't you read my psot again before jumping down my throat! I explained that a good hotel to stay in was the Cervante which is not "up the hill" as I posted. I then explained that to get to "THIS" hotel is a short walk from the train station!
I did not "jump down your throat" - you put those words in a different paragraph which to me was not related to the previous paragraph but a general comment about
the journey to Torremolinos.0 -
The train goes from Malaga airport to Fuengerolla and stops at all stations in between including Torremolinos and Benenalmadena.
There is a good bus service from outside bothh stations to get you to your hotel.
This option is OK if there`s only two of you and travelling light.
A taxi from Malaga airport to either is approx €20 or whatever they can get out of you.
ALWAYS ask the price before you get in.

The bus option at the railway station is OK if you know where the hotel is located. Outside Benalmadena (where I live) station there is not much choice of buses if your hotel happens to be near the Marina or on the sea front.
Much better - but more expensive option - is to take a taxi.0 -
I catch a bus outside the rail station in Benal which goes down towards the seafront,it passes the Siroco hotel which is on the right, continues to the bottom of the hill where it turns left and stops outside the Triton hotel and then continues along the coast road to Torremolinos.
Runs every half hour and is about €1.50 -
Pilates39,
no worries and sorry if my reply offended you-it was not meant to. However I did state in my final paragrath that the train station was a short walk to "this hotel" which I had mentioned in the previous paragrath.
But no axe to grind and hopefully positive help to people who need it from us all.
Enjoy the weather in the Sol at last!!!!0 -
Thanks for all the replies guys!
I have plenty of holiday I need to take from work so we may now do 4-5 days in palma nova in mid May, and then head to Torremolinos or Benalmadena in June! Walking 10 minutes is cool for us so I'll check out some of the hotels and more on the other sites
I would do this the other way round, you may not good weather in mallorca in may, have you tried the don bigote in palma nova?0 -
Funnily enough mate thats where I've booked, reviews were actually pretty good, staying half board just for 5 nights! should be 20 degrees or around that which is fine, wont be staying in the hotel that much anyway
not booked the June trip yet, waiting for flight prices to improve, ryanair are currently doing deals for May flights0 -
Thats where we have booked in july, so could you let me know if its as good as the reviews0
