    My dad was from Birmingham and he called his mother 'Mom'. Were he still alive, he would now be in his 80s, so it's definitely not a new thing :)

    Well I'm from the West Midlands and I've never called my MUM mom. Maybe that's why I frequently get accused of being "posh".

    In Essex, your mum's mum is your nan, not your grandma.

    I've never heard anyone call their grandmother their grandma, it's alway nan or nanny. You can never find cards for nan or nanny though.
