My nearest 2 Tesco stores (an Extra and a Superstore) never took these Farm Food vouchers at all. All efforts made to educate them fell on deaf ears.

The Superstore had a really clued-up Till Supervisor and she apologised to me about refusing them and explained that, obviously all conditional spends are taken as a loss-leader but the difference with non-scanning ones is that, as a store, they simply don't get the 'credit' for taking those. Other conditional spends, if they scan, are shown as store income from HO even though there is no actual exchange of money.

So a clued-up store will know this and refuse them as it affects their store profit. No amount of trying to educate them will work if this is the reason they are refusing non-scans. Even though I showed my locals an email from HO saying Farmfoods were OK, they said that, as a store, they won't/can't take anything that doesn't scan.

Today I visited 2 Sainsburys stores and a Waitrose, Tesco doesn't see me for dust now!:)
Same here CM...the Extra T's near me, won't take F/Foods and have always had a very strict moc policy re buying product as it is a really busy store without giving money away, whereas the other 2 are smaller and want to boost their takings , so they take them and always took mocs without buying product.....quite simple really,as a manager you get your store turnover up and get promotion...just happened at my local T's , manager just been moved to an Extra store out of the area and he is sooo pleased...I'll miss him , he's a really nice bloke...on one occasion I gave him a F/Food £5 cond spend for his wife to use ...as he said to me at the time...'every little helps'.....

Thanks Bullshot. Jeferey and Sher for the info on the FarmFoods acceptance. Could you possibly pm me with store names that process these as Competitor Coupons so that I can ask Head Office to educate my local store.

I wonder whether the Competitor Coupon button has been correctly set up at my store as the lady on CS desk showed me a red screen when she tried to put through my FF coupon and said that the button was only for scannable coupons.

She said that they had been having trouble all day with one of their own Tesco Conditional Spend coupons that wouldn't scan and that the Checkouts Manager had been on the phone to India trying to get them sorted.

When I worked for Tescos we had a dept called FMC (File Maintenance Control) who were able to sort out misprices and barcode problems at store level and other problems were corrected overnight by central control. I presume this use of overseas callcentre staff is their idea of progress!

Can anyone who currently works at Tescos shed any more light on the problems with processing these coupons?

One of the 3 jobs I had to quit to move to England was the same as FMC but I had a fancy title "Inventory Control Specialist"! Only problem with that job was I never took home all my paycheck as I couldn't resist buying the stuff that was a good deal! I also knew what was going to be on special before anyone else in the store!!;)

nothing lasts forever... a new thing may or may not come along its just for the savvy of us to 'fill our boots' while we can :).

Before the coupons stopped some people on a simialr site to this had managed to get cars for significantly less cost than what they cost with tescos points..... this was stopped... but those people got a lot from it.. maybe they abused it.. maybe they still do abuse it but thats what the games about... getting what you want for you and your family... maximimising what you think is ok. (wasnt quick enough for this personally)

Then came holidays.... once upon a time with tesco you could also use the points to buy holidays ... dream holidays to disney world or seychelles or a tour etc.... again this has been curbed too. (i managed to get 1 holiday (worth approx 2.5k) and 16000 airmiles out of this)

And then finally... coupons weree stopped... we all knew it would happen at some point.... and alot of us (me included) filled our boots as much as we could..... for example im still eating meat i got with coupons now :P... and cleaning products/ toiletries etc :). (i did well out of coupons :O)

Basically.... just 'fill your boots'... you wont be able to compete with the 'market'... someone will always spoil it for you... so by withholding yourself (i.e. using 30% coupons off a shop.. instead of 100%) all you did was just limit the 'profit'/gain you could've had.

So what did i get from all of that.... well i didnt get a car.... i got a nice holiday (in may) to mexico All inclusive for 2 weeks. (which i prob paid about 200 quid for in the end) and 16k airmiles for which i can use for travel in the future.

But more importantly... i got free shopping for over 1.5 years :).... i couponed like a mad couponer... i visited a couple stores daily all the while people telling me 'dont abuse it.. dont abuse it'..... i did that for 1.5 years.... with not a flinch from CS or the supervisors... maybe i had a good store (or stores) but.... me doing that didnt end it solely... what ended it was a guy going on tv and telling millions.... this was out of my control.. and if i hadnt 'filled ma boots'.. i'd have made 1/10th of what i made out of in terms of food.

For example i have a PS3.... i have about 15 games i still havent opened yet... 4 remotes, 1 blue ray remote, wireless headset... 32gb memory card, 1tb removable HDD... free food for a year... free clothes for a year..

I did well out of it but am not ashamed to have 'hammered' it because it could've and eventually was removed at any time... which was totally not my doing. (and yes people may say.. if everyone did it 10% we'd still have it.. maybe we would but then it'd take me 10 years to get similar 'value' from it wouldnt it?)

I know im gonna draw flames for it.. but i know i wasnt the only one... and certainly in my store i wasnt the 'biggest moccer'... one woman would hand a pile of mocs.... 80+ and get 110+ quid off her shop then.. 110+ quid off her mums shop.

Moccing almost was like a part time job lol... but wife and I would be able to get things we liked, clothes, expensive food (coca cola not cheap stuff, high quality oil etc) in the end people are selfish... and as a whole are selfish. And me using 10% of my mocs on my shop would not have allowed me to 'save' more for a deposit for a house.... so i picked the choices for my family.

Just entered the Airwick promotion to win a conservatory
    http://www.airwick.co.uk/freshness/?ls=MED-ZENITH&gclid=CMjQvdTFzKACFQZslAodmyg00w
Last four digits of barcode are 1745 Once I entered it took me to the registration page to join the club which i did (again) and it let me print a £2.00 coupon off any item from the airwick cool linen or lilac fragrance range. F5 printed twice valid until 25/03/2010
Hi everyone - not been on comp lately and now playing catch up - hope you are all OK
I can't print this coupon and it says 'sorry you can't print because either you have already had this coupon - which I haven't - or promo has ended' and it alwasy tells me this when I try to print even though all of you seems to be able to print when offers change and new coupons are available on this site - also found this with milka when some of you said it was printing again - is it just me or is anyone else not able to print these
    I am not a beige person:D
