  • Morning all.

Well I didn't even step foot inside Tesco last night and the only mocs I used were the Kettle Crisps multipack ones in Morrisons.

I did go to Asda though and saved myself a fair bit, buying Nescafe cappuccino mixes at £1 a box. They are normally £2.40 and Tesco are "competing" with Asda by charging £1.50 at the moment. £1 is the cheapest I've ever seen them. I wish the 50p mocs for these were still around...

My local Coop/Somerfield had leaflets inside the upright freezers which have a £1 off when you spend £5 on frozen foods.

I had a leaflet in my basket to use for later and the girl picked it up and scanned it before I could take it from her and it still gave me £1 off my shopping even although I hadn't bought any frozen food.

Had a difficult time yesterday in Mr T's. Young male SA clearly did not know what to do with coupons. He had to ask for help re using the FF one.

Then I gave him 2 x £1 Dove coupons and they scanned, gave him the Whiskas Temptations Freebie one and it would not scan so tried to give it me back. I had to really argue to get him to take it and he called for a supervisor who said if it doesn't scan they can't take it.

I persisted and eventually she put it thru for the amount of the freebie, £1.02 I think it was rather than the £1.25 it normally scans for, so yes Whiskas coupons are a problem at the mo?

The other coupons scanned apart from the 2 Dairlyea which he checked the price of before putting them through.

Got there in the end but not a good experience.

OH went to mr T this morning, the whiskas Temptations would not scan at all, he went to cs for a refund and was told that the coupon had been taken off the system as people had been making a profit :rotfl:so in future he would have to queue up at cs every time he wanted to use one.

thats not good for T's they are slowly pushing themselves out of the market, for those of you who have a sainsburys nearby, they take the whiskas mocs and also the gourmet ones which scan at £1, you can find small tins at 39p and they accept them, making a profit of 61p. :T:T

Thanks to the people that helped me sort out my Dairylea and Dove voucher problem. I know people have said Tesco are on and off with vouchers, has anyone risked it and did they work? Do Sainsbury's accept them? What about Asda? Thanks in advance.

my sainsbury and asda accept my printed and manufactorers mocs, hopefully it is nationwide, although sometimes you do get a manager who is a "jobs worth" and you have to quietly and firmly stand your ground. :D
