Why did you kick off at the checkout operator, it's not her fault that nobody was available to check the coupons over. She doesn't create the company policies does she? If you were on the other side of the till working for 9 hours on a Saturday, swamped with rude people like you and earning minimum wage would you have behaved in the same way?

I doubt it,if the staff were trained properly in the first place incidents like this wouldnt happen.:eek::eek:
Live for today, for tomorrow is promised to no-one.

Got trouted yesterday for using coupons for items i had bought.

The SA put her light on and after 10 mins of no-one coming, she got up and walked off. When she returned i asked her what the problem was - she said all coupons have to be approved by a manager - its Tesco policy.

After telling her what i thought of her, i went to customer services and give them a mouthfull - closely watched by the security gaurd. I was asked if i was willing to listen to an explanation and i said no, not interested, and walked out.

My frozen lollies were defrosted when i got home:mad:

Have i ever told you all how much i hate Tesco :D

P.s Asda have added WKD Vodka Blue 12 x 275ml Bottles to their 3 packs for £20 range. Don't know who could be interested in that

Put all this in an email to Sir Terry, await for you responce i got £5 giftcard for the trouble poorly trained staff caused and also the store manager was told to retrain the staff with the correct policy and i was too ask for her if i had ne probs, i was also told i could go in and review the policy and training methods for my valued feedback - god what's all this then??

nip it in the bud before u get harassed even more...........

If I was made to wait ten minutes I would have kicked off too  It's true that the till staff don't create the policies.....they just invent them. Also, just because someone earns minimum wage (correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think T's staff do) doesn't give them the right for shoddy and poor customer service

Not that we would like to have a go @ you. Just to point out that T staff earns good money not minimum wage as you think. If they don't earn good monies do you think the "OLD trout" still scanning & grumping @ us coupon users?

If you are mid-20's have at least 1 yr experience from other superstores - your min.wage is £7.00 - £8.00, I know somebody whose daughter works there & her weekly take home monies is nearly £300! (is that minimum? - don't think so).

First thing I would do is make them change all the frozen stuff or refuse to pay for it. (Tell them that you had been wandering about for 15 mins and the 10 mins you've been kept waiting means they can't sell it anyway - I think?) Then straight home to put in a complaint about the store. I personally don't think it does the 'policy' any harm and has always worked wonders for me on the odd occasion that they have made up a policy on the hoof. Always carry a copy of your reply too, usually mentions the manager....
:p:p Have a good [STRIKE]Tesc[/STRIKE][STRIKE]Asd[/STRIKE]WHO? day - Err....I still wish Mozzies had a better website even though they are now on MyS! :p:p :rotfl:;)
