Can anyone explain to me how people can sell there tesco vouchers on ebay!! I thought that they were only redeemable to the account holder, i know i must be wrong but can someone explain how to exchange them to deals if in a different name? TIA fernie

If you sell your clubcard vouchers on e-bay, you would need to have the buyer tell you which deals they want after purchase. You would then have to exchange them but the vouchers would always bear your name.

You will find that most sellers make a point of reminding prospective buyers that some vouchers can only be used by the named person e.g. holiday vouchers & take no responsibilty if the buyer can't use them.

If you changed them into say restaurant or days out vouchers even though they have your name on, it is no problem for other people to use them as the places never seem to check them for names.

You can usually expect to get about double the face value of the vouchers agains the four times value if you use them yourself for deals.

Hope that explains it for you.

Thanks for explaining, i use mine for myself and had some good deals, just could not believe what i was seeing when i googled printable coupons lol :rotfl:. Then could not understand how they got round the name issue and when you order the deals they come to your address. Seems like a lot of hassel to me.

I've got £700 worth and was considering selling some myself, but it appears that buyers can claim their money back if you allow paypal, and if they get lost in the post, Royal Mail will not re-imburse you. So there is a lot of risk, as the terms say non-transferable.

Probably best sold in small amounts to spread the risk.

Why not use them to have 2 x £1400 holidays with Virgin? That's what I'm doing...Egypt for 2 weeks works out at £2100, so cashing my vouchers for deals and paying £700 in cash( max of £1400 in deals...which is £350 worth of vouchers... for 2 people with Virgin holidays)...make sure you have Tesco Travel Insurance as other insurance companies will not cover you if you use reward vouchers.

Morning everyone, off to work now but just thought I would mention that I caught the end of an announcement on the TV saying that Terry Leahy is leaving Tesco.
