    HTC Hero - Runs Android and has HTC Sense. Beautiful combo.

    Hi, thanks for the reply. My understanding is that Sense UI runs on Android 2.1, which is yet to be released for the Hero. Is this correct? Do you know when 2.1 is due out?

    I think the Sense UI is being shipped with models now, so if you were to get it, it should have Sense on it. Of course, come April (unless HTC push back the date), you will get the 2.1 update, which should make things a lot better.

    htc or vivaz............not the nokia. At gunpoint I would go for the Vivaz personally (as I have one beside me right now...) yes it has its faults but I unplugged it from the charger yesterday morning and its still on 90% battery after a full spanking yesterday!

    Don't lock yourself into a contract for the HTC Hero - get the Desire when it comers out (is it out ?)

    I have a Hero and it's great, though.

    Hero is a great phone, but as the above poster says, wait out for a month and get yourself the Desire
    Android User/ Motorola Dext
    Linux User/ Xubuntu
    Windows/Apple hater :D
