But how come you've paid more interest than usual, that doesn't sound good/right?
Not really sure - could be that pesky 5 week month causing havoc I guess! em, it's next month now Hypno
Trainers will be donned this evening and the streets duly pounded - just hope it cools down a little!!Are you sleeping better these days, Hypno?
Sometimes I can manage a reasonable amount, but I still have a lot of "stuff" going on in the background that I can't go into here which is interfering somewhat!
And of course the heat and general mugginess doesn't help at the moment, which is just one of those things!

It could be worse, Hypno - in amidst all this striving to improve, we have to remember to celebrate both our achievements and what we've got...2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Indeed KC.....
I have withdrawn my available cash and divided it up into the envelopes - there are a couple that still need filling which will get done on Monday when the Child benefit is paid, and the grocery ones only have £20 per week in, but we are managing to do it with the storecupboard stuff that we have already got in, so the £20 generally covers milk, bread and fresh stuff.
I am quite pleased with how it has gone so far.....still early days, but definitely encouraging!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hi one and all.
Hypno i've just seen your sig. oh cr** you are proper beating me on the debt repaying!!! shiiiiiiiite!!!i have just taken stock of how much ebaying i have to do and there is loooooads!!! need to put pedal to the metal. kinda torn between a few things at the moment, just paying agreed payments off debt and using extras for entry fees to fulfill next years events, meaning something fun and nice to look forward to or to put the extra to clear my debts thus leaving me more surplus each month to pay the entry fees with?? hmmmm ponderous!! Had an email to say my shred dvd has been delayed. grrr. really with you on the heat but is v windy here and warm. just off out to pound the pavements in a few minutes, how far have you been tonight?
Hi chev hope my favouritest country in the big wide world is treating you well and hi everyone else!!debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
oh and ps two questions?? do you mind me being cheeky and asking what categories your envelopes are in? I get really panicky that i will go to the bank as i did a few weeks back and all money will be gone!! think i may have peace of mind knowing it is all cash and all here with me!!! also do you still colour your squares in?:Ddebt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0

did 5 miles.....very warm out there and I dared to put on my SHORTS  Not a pretty site :rotfl:
My envelopes are basically for whatever I have to pay for, so I have one for each race training session for DS, one for each time I have to pay the gardeners, one for the work lottery syndicate contribution, one each week for "spends", etc, and whatever is left over is divided by 4 or 5 and put in an envelope for groceries and petrol.
Last month, though, I had one for DD's haircut, one for Newmarket, one for DD's birthday present etc etc etc
So you just adapt to what you need. every month will be different - I just sit down with my filofax and write down each event that is coming up on an envelope!
As for the squares, funnily enough I was thinking today about making a new grid - the old one was doing brilliantly until OH left, and then it went by the wayside.....Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Evening - well done Hypno on achieving your desired weight.
Having trouble posting on here at the moment - depends on which computer I'm on. Had a busy few days - had to take a Rescue test for swimming teachers on Tuesday night (passed thank goodness!) and then last night went to O2 Arena to see Jack Johnson - he is fit !!!!
Good concert as well!!!
DS has only 10 days left in USA, Sister and family arrive Monday from USA, internment of Mums Ashes on Thursday, then Saturday we have a big do for our silver wedding. Should also have been for DS 21st and graduation - he will be 4500 miles away !!! He is applying to do a Masters Degree in Military History os that will keep him busy hopefully if he gets a place!
DD seems to be here there and everywhere!!!!!
Anyway - goingt o try and do some Dooyoo reviews otherwise my points will expire. Have a good evening0 -
One of my colleagues went to see Jack Johnson last night too, surfbabe - he said it was fab!
Well done on the swimming test :T
I have pork chops and roasted veggies cooking in the oven - will have the same as leftovers for lunch tomorrow at work. It is certainly smelling yummy and I am rather peckish after my run.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes.
