Morning......when will this tiredness end! Roll on Easter bank holiday!
20p on scratches today.....woooo :rotfl:it has been a long time since I saw such big numbers revealed!
A matched bet done last night will get me £8.24 profit, and I hope to get another one done this evening before skiing. £100 has gone out to the debt, so the signature can start to reduce again.
Nothing else to report - its budget day today....wonder if Mr Darling will work out that ebaying and mystery shopping can make all the difference to the balance sheets?

Hi Hypno, well done on reducing the debt again.
Hope your weigh in goes well.
One 20p here, otherwise 10ps, seems like the larger amounts have vanished from the scratchcards at the moment here too.
Hope your skiing goes well too.
Have a good day everyone0 -
I bloody hope not Hypno-eBay is the only thing keeping me afloat at the minute! Grand total I owe DH...£716.
I am in the process of claiming back from My Lloyds TSB and the barstewards WILL be coughing up!Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
Weigh in at lunchtime, so I will of course report back.....I hope the tiredness shifts before I ski this evening - although it is a good way of clearing the cobwebs away, it is not always good to ski when tired as that is when falls happen. So, as I really want to ski, much coffee needed in the course of the day
bunny, I wonder what the Chancellor would actually put on ebay......
The £100 has gone off the mortgage - if I am to catch up all the time we were on interest only, and get the mortgage balance to the "correct" place by the time the fixed rate ends, I need to pay an additional £150 a month (I think). I couldn't work £150 into the SOA at the moment, so have started off with £100, and will hopefully be able to edge it upwards as time goes on. The fixed rate was 10 years, ending in July 2013, and 6 years of that was done on interest only, so there is a lot to catch up if I am to be where I should be at the point I need to remortgage and get the best deal (or move house, and get the best deal, of course!).
But for the purposes of DFDs, it is coming off the old secured loan element of the numbers......:DSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

It's likely he'll ask himself how all us Money Saving Experts can earn such a lot on the above activities and pay so little tax, then he'll try and fleece us. I'll be watching the budget with interest.
Well done on reducing your debt further and the weight loss :T.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
bunny, we are very lucky in that we have one of the best dry slope facilities in the country - not as good as the Alps, obviously, but pretty good. It is a man made hill, as Norfolk is pretty flat, but we don't to badly on it! Best of all, because I have done more than my bit working there in the past, I have accumulated "ski hours" as pay, so it only actually costs me £1 for a 2 hour coaching session on a Wednesday - very MSESuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. morning - have a good ski tonight Hypno - I must say it doesn;t appeal, although I have been twice - i'll stick to water, although looking at the size of the surf in morocco it looks like it will be hard work!
probate valuation done yesterday, nothing of any significant worth, but may be worth ebaying some stuff if I can be bothered.
Have a good day everyone0 -
That's brilliant!
I can't wait to take the kids skiing...Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
surfbabe, glad that things are getting sorted for you. My garage is still packed full of my Dad's stuff that I have not yet gone through - all just boxed up when his house was sold, to deal with "when I am ready".....hmmm.....
bunny - my two started at age 5 and 6 but I don't think it matters what age they start, and whether they start on snow or plastic - if they love it, they love itWe are very lucky in that our club works on "ski hours" as well as "paid hours" so over the past 10 years, what we do at the local slope is very cost effective. Once we step ourside our own front door, so to speak, though, that is where it becomes expensive for us!
