So you are running 11 heaters at (let's say) an average of 200W, 24/7? So that's 2.2kw, or 52.8Kwh a day. At approx 12p per Kwh that means your hobby is costing you £6.34 a day, or £44.38 a week! That doesn't appear to leave anything left for your other electrical consumption out of £45 per week. It's like running a 2 bar electric fire 24/7.
Forget about what you are spending, why don't you monitor how many units you are actually using and try and work out how you can reduce your consumption?
Your consumption is around 5 times that of the average household. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Ditch your meter but energy provider may do a credit check and go for a internet tariff as they tend to be cheaper0

Hey I don't agree with the maths, so you are saying that we only spend £3 a week,on telly laptops,PC, shower x4 every day, lights, home all day, fridge, freezer x2 washing machine 5x a week, tumble dryer, hair dryer straighteners microwave, chippy, do I need to go on. It is never £44 a week, if it was, then their would be no tropical fish shops, as they have well over 200 tanks, they would go out of business0

That is why I opened this thread, I have bought a monitoring electric unit which will be here by next week0

I don't know much about fish tank heaters, but I guess like most heaters they are thermostatically controlled arn't they?
(Else after some time, the bubbles rising won't be emanating from the fishes mouths )
The calculation assumes they are running at full output 24/7."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -

The maths is correct assuming that they average 200W (you said 100 to 300) and that they draw that 24/7. As Premier says, if they cycle on and off the the usage will be less. However I didn't allow for the use of 5 filters as well...
I suggest you switch everything else off and use your monitor to see what collective power they are using.
The fact remains that you are using in total (assuming 12p per Kwh) about 20,000Kwh per year. The average UK consumption is about 4,000.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
