I followed the link for a No Junk email Sticker and emailed but was told it is only for Norfolk County Council residents and I would need to contact my district council to get a sticker from them.

This is exactly the same as what i got.

Fingers crossed my council have something like this they can send me.
  • i did kleeneze 8yrs ago and at 1 of the big confrences someone asked the "big company boss" "which houses do we put catalogues through?" and his reply was "ANY WITH A LETTER BOX, even if they have no junk mail signs!!!"

so you will get them no matter what, and unlike avon and betterware you dont get a fixed area you can go anywhere.

I am an Avon Rep. Should I apologise before I begin?

Really sorry for any upset caused by Avon reps. A few houses on my round have "no cold callers" stickers and up until now I have not dropped any books in.

I was thinking about (now the evenings are getting lighter) going round them all in the early evening and saying that while I recognise that they have a sticker, I wondered whether they would be interested in receiving an Avon book.

Many other Avon reps are advising me that this would be fine, but I just thought I'd check on this thread as well.

    Thanks for your input.

What is the point of having a sticker if people ignore the wishes of the householder and shove the catalogue indoor anyway

Just because your colleague say its okay, it may not be okay to the householder

Its about time people understand not all of us want this crap shoved down our throat same as cold callers

Best place for catalogues, Avon, Kleenzy, takeaways is the recycle bin it helps fill it up

The sticker you leave doesn't work unfortunately, many of them are incapable of reading or care

I like the ones with a freepost envelope, as that company then can receive all my junk mail ;)

It does not bother me I just put all of it in the bin. I may as well shove bin directly under the letter box some days. I dont even read any of it, if its not addressed to me its in bin

    Thanks BargainGalore for your reply.

I think you misread my post, I was not suggesting that I just put the book through anyway, instead that I knock and politely ask if they would like to receive a book in the future.

I can completely understand the frustration of having a book put through the door by someone who has ignored the sticker completely.
