Although they are no legally obliged to do so ,some companies will honor this and provide you with the alternative ,that is available ,at the same price, its good customer relations
BUT in this case ,were talking about b&Q so they wouldn't give a flying fluff ,I'm afraid ,customer relations ....pah !!0 -
The problem with doing the two tins for the price of the larger tin creates problems with stock and pricing, a member of staff (or management) cannot over ride the price for the 2.5l tins on the system, they cannot put in the barcode for 5l as this will reduce the 5l stock (no doubt into a negative number) but not reduce the 2.5l stock, hence it would trigger extra orders for 5l and no replenishing of the 2.5l (which they would be rapidly running out of)
Also, is it a B&Q offer or a Dulux offer? as if it is a Dulux offer, then they are only allowed to do it on the paint specified by Dulux?0 -

Obviously it's at the stores discretion. Maybe manager was having an off day or has been told off for giving out too much discount! (Think target is <0.5% of sales are allowed to be marked down)0 -
