    One of the BBC's programmes in the "Britain's Streets of Debt" series covered a very similar story to this.

    In "Borrowers Beware" a family in Blackpool (I think) lived with the threat of her house being repossessed for a long time. From memory, she'd borrowed a couple of thousand, but ended up owing about £100,000. It went to court, and the judge wrote the debt off.

    Total debt now (April 10) £0! - total paid off £30,221 or 100%
    I'm now debt free after 6 years!!:j
