    you have to put the same amount in another account to get the 10% it works out not worth it ...stick with an easy no hassel one ...dont touch barclays they have terrible customer service reputation i know they are 6.5% but somethings are worth sacrificing for...oooo i see first direct are offering 7% but you have to pay a regular amount in every month can you do that?

    Isn't that only for the Premier 21 account? I can still get their 16-21 account (which is also 10% it seems...hmm).

    they do have a saving account connected to their current account 12% i think but you have to put £500 into your current account evey month (very easy to do) and it is before tax

    Hmm, putting £500 in would be impossible at the moment. Another reason I wish my work contract could be sorted out :rolleyes:

    honest it isnt that hard it only has to go into the account the day it hits you can take it out ...so in on the 1st out on the 1st just needs to bounce into the account then bounce back out

    and it doesnt have to be in the one swoop you can add a wee bit at a time so say £100 bounce it 5 times through out the month ..just for the current account but it gives you the 12% savings account attatched to it

    I only earn £285 a month, can't really take any one else's money to put in, the accounts are confusing enough as it is.

    So the £500 ended up going on the car service, just incase anyone was wondering (:mad: :()

    Anyway, I'm taking PAP's very good advice and posting here about my dilemma to see if you guys have any words of wisdom for me.

    I had a job interview a few weeks ago and got an email to say that I'd been successful and will get a call to confirm start dates and a formal offer of employment.
    I'm not sure I want the job though.

    Pros

    * It's good money (think it's about £15k starting)
    * Flexible hours/shifts (with the option to work mainly evenings/weekends if required)
    * It's a sit down job
    * It's not retal

    Cons
    * It's further away - about 45 minutes, more at rush hour I'd expect
    * I can't do any other job alongside it
    * Would have to give up volunteering because of changing shifts

    Half of me says I'm an idiot to even question it, I'm bored of my current job and this would be interesting, fairly easy and a change of scene above all else.
    But the other half says, I've put a year in at uni to get paid work with my volunteer job - stick it out a bit longer because the experience I'm gaining is worth it. Or, if I don't leave, or at least threaten it, then they'll put off paying me for as long as possible.

    Any ideas?

    I say trust your gut instinct - only you know what that is!

    Congratulations for getting the job anyway! Whether you take it or not now is YOUR choice, and it is always good to have that element of control once in a while!!
