Car insurance help

ha how do you think i feel!
well he bought the car but i insured it so i guess then legally it is his would this make a difference?
I would suggest that you correct this situation as soon as possible. If your son is the registered owner and keeper, the Insurance needs to be in his name.
If you had the car stolen or written off, you would need to send the Insurers the V5 registration documents. This is when the Insurers will find out you have been fronting for your son. The policy will then be made void, with no pay out.
If your son is involved in an accident causing death or injuries to 3rd parties, the Insurers will be liable, but they will void the policy and then come after you for the money paid out. This would include taking you to court if you did not pay them. I have read recently about someone having to pay an Insurance company £30k in this situation. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0 -

As a general rule the registered owner and keeper of the car should also be the policyholder.0
