    pretty much every N one is backwards compatible to G as well, also unless everything you are connecting is N you'll find your speed impaired by having the mix.

    N devices will still be faster than G but slower than full N.
    G devices might even be slightly slower than a 'pure' G network

    if all your devices are G then a G router is probably fine for the moment (you can probably ask for another free N one in 12 months time anyway in the same way, then you'll have both & can use one as a spare :p)
