I'm on Virgin Media cable at home and want a cheap and cheerful wireless router so i can use my iphone more. I'll plug this in on a wired connection to my desktop but have wi-fi for me iphone. Will this be suitable?

Looks OK to me, gets decent reviews on Amazon where it is going for double the price.
You'll need to plug it in to your cable modem, as it is just a router, not a modem router.poppy100 -

virgin give them away free if you call up and 'suggest' you'll be leaving and make the right noises. plenty of examples on these boards0

Id see if virgin can send you 1, depending who you get to talk to you might be able to get 1 for free or you pay postage of £7.50 which still isnt bad for a router0

No they are offering me the g one too. It's easy to install etc and set up then? I'm a bit of a div when it comes to installing various bits of kit......i got the netgear wireless G router, if they ar eoffering the N router then get that but you would have to make sure your any devices you would be connecting to it are N compatible0
