I agree with Phillipaha. Who the hell has the right to dictate what people can and cannot post. Who 'agrees'' this? It is an open forum and isn't owned by anyone. I don't blame P for being hacked off. I just want her to know that not all the people on the forum are ungrateful idiots. I'll never bother posting anything again either.

Most of these little problems could easily be sorted by stickies or a section that isn't for current comps only...somewhere to ask and be told of useful info like this. if you have something new that isn't a daily, postal or already covered in some stucky here there's nowhere for it to go at all except into a very long thread where it will be totally lost and unlikely to be seen by many never mind answered.

Philly did a nice thing, not realising that it could confuse some people who are into a routine she wasn't aware of....that's just bad organisation of this section of forum really, no-one's fault.

If each section of MSE forum had a subsection just for stickies and general thread and the comps were left in their own sections...how easy would that be to fnd this useful stuff? It's standard practice on larger forums I know of that run well.

There is one looooong chat type thread on here to ask or inform of non comp entry issues...anything on threre is lost in hours into the stream or ignored by people having a conversation ..and as far as I see, not many people bother to go there anyway..can't blame them really since it's of no purpose.

Unneccesary bumping is a pain on the comp boards, but it's forced on us by the lack of somewhere else to ask things where threads can naturally die away when done.

I think its time for a spring clean and some housekeeping to get up to date in this place, it's not like it needs much after all.

The reason I have been late posting the magazine comps lately is that I haven't been at all well and it will be a while before I am all sorted out ;) but I am still happy to do them :) it gives me something other than "hospitals" to focus on......Chat answers will be with you all soon :)

I found Phillipaha's post far more informative than the usual TaB post as it has listed the info about the prizes which is not usually posted by others. When I don't get the mag I usually go to marina's comp pages for TaB answers.
With so many comps available and so many posts it can be difficult to keep up on here sometimes. Don't let it discourage you Phillipaha

    2009 - 12228 comps entered -16 wins: 2010 - 3442 entered - 0 wins

    2025 Comps 8675: wins 7: value £1522
    2024 Comps 13526: wins 13: value £1475

I don't normally like to be too involved in these discussions....life is far too short for all the hassle....but I need to say that I always post the details for the holidays etc :) and Marinas site has very few details apart from the answers ;)

Gosh I think Phillipaha has over reacted along with some other guys on here.....Korky simply pointed out this forums etiquette. Afterall this is a community and newbies would do well to acquaint themselves initially when joining instead of getting easily offended when members point this out to them.

Anyways thanks to all of the posters :)
