How much would you be thinking of charging?

I don't know. i saw a standard figure on this website a while back, so I thought I would just put that in. I think there was wording to use with it as well, but alas i can't find the page anywhere! if memory serves it was about £10.

They actually said on the page that if you have to return something and they refuse and they were wrong to, or you purchase something and you take it back and it isn't working, causing you to travel back you can charge them the cost of petrol, but I thought that would be going a bit too far.

If only I could find that page :(

Do you have any proof for anything you said happened?

I asked her for what she said in writing and she refused, stating that she had told me verbally and that was enough. I asked the staff if they would act as witnesses, but they just walked off without saying anything

So that's a 'no' then? I think you have an extremely weak case.

I'm sure I read on one of the pages or on martin's weekly emials that we could charge a company we have a complaint against for the time taken to write a letter. Unfortunatley I can't find the advice anywhere! could someone please post me the link or explain to me how much one can charge and the reasoning behind it?

I'm very annoyed by pc world who refused to abide by hte sale of goods act so would like to open a can of martin style consumer "whup !!!!"!

    thanks in advance

HA HA really???? I hope the company charge you the same for taking the time to reply :)

i basically would like an apology in public from her.

    Public how? via a newspaper/radio?

    You sound a bit OTT!

Also what if you're wrong which my gut feeling from your OTT style suggests your are, you also haven't given any details. Would you be happy if they charge you for their time in dealing with your complaint?
