I'm sure I read on one of the pages or on martin's weekly emials that we could charge a company we have a complaint against for the time taken to write a letter. Unfortunatley I can't find the advice anywhere! could someone please post me the link or explain to me how much one can charge and the reasoning behind it?
I'm very annoyed by pc world who refused to abide by hte sale of goods act so would like to open a can of martin style consumer "whup !!!!"!
thanks in advance

You can charge as much as you like, but the chances of receiving payment are slim to zero."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

It would only be if you took substancial and significant time to resolve a complaint and suffered a loss as a result of doin so
Sending off a letter of complaint isnt likely to count.0 -
Please pay my invoice for 20p for my reply to your post0

It's more so because the woman i dealt with was very rude and even refused to write down the incorrect advice she had given me stating that she had told me and that was enough. She was even being rude infront of her staff. It was a little humiliating to be honest with her speaking very loudly in the store stating that i was speaking total nonsense in front of my kids.
i basically would like an apology in public from her and any thing else i can get to put her in her place. that may sound a little petty, but the whole scenario left a very bad taste in my mouth.0 -
If you sue and represent yourself then, assuming costs are awarded (unlikely in Small Claims cases), you can claim a litigant in persons fee of £10 something per hour.
Otherwise, no.0 -

Do you have any proof for anything you said happened?0
