Can Someone pls help me? Cheated by Vodafone!
Options
OK, when the time my old contract was finishing I called to Vodafone saying I wanted to leave. Obviously they tried all the tricks to keep me as a customer. One sales advisor offered me £60 credit towards the new contract and I fell for it. And he said the credit would come off from my 2nd bill and he even left a note in my account so there shouldn't be any problem. If there is any problem, just call back.
Now my 2nd bill came but there was no credit (how surprising!!) so I called to Vodafone. The guy on the phone checked and said there was no note whatsoever to back up the £60 credit I was claiming. My heart sunk.......after an intensive 10 minutes argument, he agreed to meet me half way. But I don't want the half way!! They promised me £60 credit at the first place and now they say they could only give me £30! If they have offered me £30 at the first place, I wouldn't have accepted the offer!!
Please anyone help me? £30 is a lot of money to me. I've been a Vodafone customer for many years and always pay my bill on time.
Is this the way Vodafone treats its customer? offer £60 for leaving customer but when the customer stays, sorry, only £30, and that they say is still a generous offer!!

Yes it is what they do, they tell you something but they WILL NOT put it in writing anywhere, other than a note on their system which has a habit of vanishing0 -
so I guess there is no way I can get my £60 back? I should just grab the £30 while I still can!!0

This appears their normal standard - lie to the customer and make promises they don't keep to grab your custom (and thereby money). Your best hope lies with the reps on here - they don't like customers advertising their dishonest practices and seem to make a genuine effort to solve the problems of those who find their way onto this site. A pity it's only then that they honour their offers! I would never accept any offer from this outfit unless it was in writing - and they always make them when my contract expire. A warning to others - this has been going on for a LONG time; if they can't put it in writing it's because they don't honour their offers!!!0

Ask them to review the recording, if they don't have the recording of the £60 promised they have no phonecall of you agreeing to renewAlthough no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -

Yep, exactly, it's amazing how recordings can suddenly appear when you say this.0 -
Write a letter to the complaints department asking for the recording to be reviewed. It's common not to get a good result by just phoning customer service.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Hi ys704,
That's very concerning, my advice is don't call them, you can contact the Web Relations team by using their contact us page and putting WRT135 in the subject line.
These are the guys who help out on here, at least if your doing things over email you will have a paper chain to back up what you are saying. You can contact them through Twitter as well, I'm 100% sure you'll get a better experience than with the call centers.

Hi ys704
I realise it's been a little while since your post and you may have already received a solution to this.
If you haven't though I'd like to help. Send me an email from here with a link to this thread and your username. Make sure when you send the email that you include the code WRT135 in the subject line so that it comes straight to my team.
I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
All the best
