Red Crosses everywhere! like the one on the right

Today I find that when I go into a forum, there are red crosses everywhere.most strange as thios has never happened before. I have tried 'right clicking, and sellecting 'show picture', but this doesn't work.
Any ideas anyone please?

No red crosses, but the bottom line of posts have lost their graphics (at least for me). Happened just a few minutes ago.

I just tried logging out and back in, but it made no difference to the weird effects I'm getting.
No graphics on the 'Quick Reply' box either (but it's obviously useable).
Smileys are OK, as are some other graphics, but not all.
I'm using Firefox, by the way.
