Best small car

I like my jazz too and haven't had many problems with it. The only thing that has gone wrong is that it needed a new gearbox and the garage did that for free. I don't have much to complare it too but I dont' find it particularly economical as I get 33-37mpg depending on where I am driving. I would have expected more miles to gallon but apart from that it is great.
What engine do you have??? OH mpg is just below 50, don't think ever was lower than 45... Mine is 46.6mpg (Yaris). We both drive 50+ miles every day as we live quite a way from our places of work - in opposite directions and have mixed motorway (mainly) and town.
I can't say anything about the spark plugs, as if it needs doing, the garage does it during service/MOT. The insurance group is not too expensive (I think I was trying to compare how much my insurance would be and it would have been few pounds cheaper on Jazz than on Yaris! Jazz is 1.4 SE Sport, Yaris is 1.0 T2! Have to say, we couldn't believe it.)
To those who suggested Aygo - there is small car, and then there is small car... If you want any space, Aygo won't have it...Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Chevrolet spark is nice car to have with but when it comes to performance it doesn't have much to impress0

It is a 1.4. At the moment I work very close to home and generally do journeys of only a couple of miles at a time so it is very much stop start journeys. It usually went up to 37 (40 at a push) if I was doing long journeys. I don't drive in a very economical way and know I could get more mileage if I drove in a less impatient manner! If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0 -
I bought a Citreon C1 last May and am really pleased with it. I went from an old Rover 2 litre auto which cost about £80 per month for my short journey to work, to about £30 per month. Also £35 per year tax. It is a bit noisy on long motorway journeys but I just turn the cd player up. The main drawback to me is that the back seat doesn't split so it is luggage or passengers.0

Citreon C1 for me too - cheap to run, cheap tax etc...0

Honda Jazz!!!! We have Honda Jazz (OH) and Toyota Yaris (me). I would swap for Jazz any day, unfortunately my OH doesn't like Yaris that much...
Jazz is very good car - lots of space inside, small on the outside. Economical to run.
100% agree. The Honda jazz is so good for space and reliability. Had to sell ours recently due to growing family, another child on the way... with reluctance (now got the 6 seater Honda FR-V).There are some low mileage used ones around as the profile of Jazz drivers is primarily older, careful local drivers.0
