Hurry chums. The berries on offer were, blue, black, rasp, goose and blackcurrant. Only 3 blue were left which i grabbed. The plants were healthy. Dont expect a sizeable crop until the summer after next. I have now lovingly planted them.
STRAWBERRY ALERT
The ones in my LIDL were the vicious elsanta variety. Beloved by the supermatkets for its toughness and hence long shelf life, it can lurk for weeks on the shelves waiting for a hapless customer. Good for the kids packed lunches so they can throw them at each other and cause minor injuries.Freedom is the freedom to say that 2+2 = 4 (George Orwell, 1984).

Well to add to my earlier post about Lidl not including the veg plant in the offer, they have done another mistake with their prices. My mum went this afternoon and managed to get the last 2 blueberry bushes, but when at checkout she was charged 89p each. I don't know where that price come from but it was a saving so  Lidl.
About poundland, I have been looking for months for the blueberry ones without success. I did get a Tayberry that was just a stick and has stayed that way 3 months on. So either dead or dormant. I know people have had success with these from poundland but the Lidl ones seem in better condition.0 -
