Orange: can they do this?

The phone I had from them has stopped working 6 months into the contract. I called them up and they said it'd cost £70 for a replacement.

Surely all elec equip has a 12-month warranty? Can they do this?

    Take it into the cpw and ask them to fix it under warranty, they should do it even tho u didnt get it from them, Ive done it numerous times in the past.

    hmmm, they shouldnt be charging you for that if it has gone wrong on its own. carphone warehouse may fix but really orange shouldnt be saying what they are. follow it up.

    All phoned have 12month Waranty
    if your provider doest not want to fix it , take it directly to Nokia/Samsung etc

    These [email="fu@:"]fu@:"£$"[/email] really try it on, they are responsible they/their agents sold you a package that is governed by the sales of goods and services. but since CPW act on manufacturer's behalf it's easier to go to them
