  • Thanks kath and taxi - I've come down off my happy exam cloud now and it's back to it. The next lot are in four months.

Very busy weekend here and a bit of money spent. Sorry Moozie when (if?) you see this. But you can hardly blame a cat when a very special visitor arrives on your patch, can you?

Looking Ahead visited Great Spendover this weekend and we got to meet up! :T

She's a lovely as she appears on here and we had a very jolly Saturday morning involving a veggie breakfast and a trip to the House of Primark. So not too expensive, Moozie ;) - less than a tenner spent by me.

I'm safely back on the wagon now and have managed to solve a short-term problem re money this evening after a bit of careful juggling and shifting around of payments. Thankfully I get a permanent wage as of March. So it's beans on toast until then but this time there's a foreseeable end to it.

Taxi - I hope you're right that things are looking up for me. It hasn't felt like that for a while and I don't want to get too hopeful just yet.

  • Hello!

Awww thanks Minnie for those kind words...:o

Yes everybody, Minnie took me into Primark (or Primarnia as Minnie nicknamed it which I love!) and I had never been in one before. I was a Primark virgin!

    Well, what an experience.

What was it I said to you Mins?

"I feel like a rabbit in the headlights!"

But well worth it....with Minnie's help I got 4 tops (including two fabby tops for work) for £14 total. Excellent work.

  • I had a great time, too LA. Mind you, stick two women in front of a cooked breakfast followed by a couple of hours in a shop, and what do you expect? :rotfl:

Primarnia sends its love and hopes you visit again soon ... a new consignment of yellow T-shirts is due any day!

Even Moozie can't get angry at four tops (I feel a song coming on) at an average of £3.50 each!

  • All very good points you make there.

And what a gorgeous cooked breakfast it was too I must add. (Not that you need me to tell you that!)

By the way, how was your afternoon appointment with the man in tights?
