O2 Recycle any good??!!

Hi, I had a search on the site but couldn't find anything comparing all these recycling sites - although I DO remember Mazuma being recommended at some point on this site.

I just went onto O2 Recycle and was given a higher price than on Mazuma... has anyone had experience with O2 Recycle and if so, was it good or bad?

I sent my old Sony Ericcson to O2 recycle last week. Was quoted 17.50 on the website which I thought was good. Got an email on Tuesday saying all had been processed and that a payment of 15.50 would be in my account in 10 working days. When I emailed to ask why the reduction, they told me it was because the battery was not charged and clearley in the terms and conditions it says it should be. Correct, my bad, but no where in the terms and conditions does it say they will deduct 10% for no battery charge, only missing batery. Just thought I would warn people before they recycle something more expensive and get a 10% deduction. They offered to have a courtesy payment for the 10% I "Lost" but i declined. Its only £1.75 after all. Will update how long it takes to get paid from them when I get paid from them!

My wife is with O2 and she ugraded the other week.

She received a quotation from O2 then she checked other recycle websites and the quotations were the same or less.

She rang them up, completed the order and they provided her with an address to sent it to. She posted it to them on the Thursday and weirdly she received a cheque on the Friday. I think this was a mistake rather than she quick speedy service.

No problems here. Very efficient and effective.
