12 months contract & MAC

Can anyone answer my question please:
Can you ask your provider for a MAC code to migrate to another ISP within your 12 months contract?
Or 12 months contract means no Cancellation and No MAC?

Many thanks in advance

Migrations codes are not a legal requirement at the minute, its at the discretion of the service provider & in most cases they'll only give you your migration code if you've fulfilled the full 12 month contract that you've agreed to.

With regards to cancellation, sure you can cancel, but expect to pay off the remaining months on the contract!
  • Hi Rqsplon,

For the most part Normanmark is correct.

However if a provider has signed the OFCOM Code for Migrations they have to provide you a MAC upon request, regardless of where you are at in your contract.

This, however, will not release you from any cancellation fees or outstanding charges.

    Kind regards,
