Contact details for somebody with clout at Talk Talk

Does anyone have any contact details for someone of importance at Talk Talk. Have now reached the end of my tether with them after 4 months of trying to get broadband connected. Was given my 5th or 6th "go live" date as the 15th of March and it didnt happen. Phoned yesterday and their system was down again so they couldnt access my account. Phoned today and was told that it will go live on the 20th, not being funny but that isnt going to happen going by previous experience. When i asked to speak to a manager i was put on hold for 10 minutes and then cut off!!!! I am so angry that i just want to get past the idiots in the call centres and speak to someone in authority.
Thanks in advance for help in this matter:)

After 4 months (!!!) isn't it time you chose a better provider than TT?

  • They tie you in with an 18month contract. Unless you know any loopholes for getting out of it

Well I would have thought that a 3.5 month delay in provisioning your service would be construed by most reasonable people as being a breach of contract on their side? Certainly any small claims court would see it that way.
10 days is normal, 2 weeks is acceptable. Once it's gone beyond a month it's a farce.
Just write to them and say you are cancelling due to their breach of contract, then cancel your DD.

That gum you like is coming back in style.
  • Thanks to all that replied above. I had a reply on another thread saying that the 18 month contract starts when your broadband goes live. So i will be phoning them at the earliest oppurtunity and tell them politely to go forth and multiply.
    Thanks again for the help

You need to put your contract cancellation in writing by registered post. Otherwise 6m later TT wil be sending debt collectors to your door on the basis that they have no record of you cancelling the contract.
