P.s I like your idea for the evening photos/memories thingy - but I agree with some of the others about leaving a digital camera out..
But Argos have a 4MP digital camera for £25 at the mo - so maybe not so bad (but then if anyone does steal it, they will have your photos too)
Maybe disposable cameras might be better? Can still leave the box of props (I love that idea!!) (also - look at confetti.com around sale time for cameras - and tesco do them too). Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??:mad:Debt Free as of September 2011 :jSealed Pot 2009 number 334 - £100 Saved! yey!!Sealed Pot 2010 number 334 - £116.51 Saved! Thanks Dizzie, I've spoken to the wedding coordinator again today and she has reduced the wedding breakfast price by £7 per head. We're going to go ahead and book it, just waiting for her to get back to me to discuss going in to do this. It's sooooooooooooooooooooooooo exciting!
I'm not sure about a car you know, venue is only around 15 minutes away from where we live and the car isn't actually something that I feel is important. It probably would be more of a priority to me if OH and I would be travelling together in it to the reception but as it is all going to be in once place I'm not so bothered. My Dad's friend does have an oldish Jag, so we're thinking of maybe asking him to drive Dad and I to the venue but I'm not sure yet.
I've found a photographer online who does a digital only package for £300, but I need to look into him a bit more.
My aunty has asked if she can buy the cake.
Not sure what we're doing about flowers yet.
I'll make my own table centres, stationary and favours.
OH and the Men will hire suits, I really don't have a CLUE about my dress- I'm loosing weight (have been for a few months now) so I'm thinking I will wait a while before looking into this because I'm hoping my body shape will change quite dramatically before the wedding.
Bridesmaid dress will be easy, highstreet or online- I'm only having one and she is very slim so easy to find a dress that will suit.
I'm feeling really quite positive today and I hope we can do this for our budget- I'm sure we can if we really try!
I'm glad you like our photo idea, i think it will be really fun. We can start gathering props for this now and we won't even notice the cost if we do it over time so its all good. YAY!

WOW!!! £7 per head is pretty good, isn't it.
I'm so pleased for you - you both love the venue, don't you.
So exciting that you can REALLY start planning now....!!
Nice that your Aunty wants to buy the cake too - that is really kind of her.
You have plenty of time to find your dress and you and BM can go and have lots of shopping trips...!!!
Go into charity shops and look for props....you will find some amazing things there - feather boas, walking canes, wigs, hats.....
I am so excited for you both!! xWhy does nobody say Thank You anymore??:mad:Debt Free as of September 2011 :jSealed Pot 2009 number 334 - £100 Saved! yey!!Sealed Pot 2010 number 334 - £116.51 Saved! Yey!! YIPPEE!!0 -
Yeah, the more I think about it the more excited I'm getting. Even OH is beaming when we talk about it and this is a man who hides his emotions well. Can't wait to go to meet the coordinator and book it just so we get to have another look!
Thanks for all your support and advice through our venue search, we really appreciate it.
