Ok Wirm,

Here's my final suggestion. Remove your current signature, redo your signature but this time without any text formating. Add the smilies that you want & save the changes to see if it works.

If it works, you can then go back to edit your signature once again adding your preffered text formating. Save the changes & test again to see if it's the text formating which is causing the problem.

It's hardly strange as you have removed your original text with it's formatting. To add text with formating ensure you leave at least one space before & after the smiley
