Hi, does anyone know how to turn off the orange voicemail service. There doesnt appear to be an option of tunring it off when you go to the voicemail options.

Thanks.

If you are talking about PAYG, a call to customer services will switch it off, as it is not configurable from the handset.

Same applies if you're pay monthly. ;)
  • For contract looking at other forums/posts.

get customer services to enable auto divert.
This gets a phone update, so then similar to other providers.
Where you can change call setting? auto-divert to off.

For PAYG there is a controllable way.

Effectively after setting a greeting message, then go and set a temporary greeting message like "do not leave a message, send a text".
Whilst doing this you get the option to stop answer phone.

The advantage of this is you still should get the missed call alerts.

    Quoted from help orange website:

    switching off the Answer Phone

Sometimes you might not want callers to be able to leave a message on your Answer Phone. To switch off your Answer Phone call your usual customer service number.

If you want to switch off your Answer Phone for a short period of time, say for example, you’re going on holiday, then you can set up a temporary greeting and stop messages being left for you.

    To do this:

    • Press and hold 1 to access your Answer Phone menu.
    • Press 2 for Greetings.
    • Press 3 to set and temporary greeting and follow the prompts.
