Interflora - GRRRRRRRR!!!!!

I ordered some flowers for my mother and mother in law on saturday - over the phone - and paid with my card. I paid the £9.99 each for same day delivery. My mum got hers, but mother in law didn't.

I rang interflora on the sunday to be told that they had tried 3 florists, two of which couldn't do it - a third would do it on monday. I said I had paid the extra for same day delivery and asked if customer care could ring me back............... they didn't.

I rang on the monday to be told that they still might deliver today and that he would get someone to ring me back to look in to giving me my money back for the delivery and 50% off for the inconvenience. I said 'someone will ring won't they as they didn't last time' to which he said 'of course they will'................. they didn't.

The flowers eventually did get delivered late on monday afternoon, two days after they should have been. I was still waiting for a phone call.

I waited ....... tuesday........ no call.

So I rang today and explained to the woman what had happened. She didn't apologise once, and just said that my money for the delivery would be put back on my card in 3 -5 days. NO APOLOGY.

I have been looking for the Chairman of interflora Rhys Hughes' email address to vent but have been unable to find it - of course unless you want to pay for the privelege of using those directory sites.....

I want an apology to myself, to my mother in law and some form of recomense for what they have done.

They were quick in taking my money even though they couldn't deliver on time, and yet couldn't be bothered to ring me back - I have wasted time, money and effort in having to ring them back time after time after time, let alone the let down and embarassment of my mother in law not getting her flowers on saturday.....

NOT GOOD ENOUGH INTERFLORA - I AM ANGRY.

Can anyone help with how to email straight to the top please.

  • I had problems with interflora. I ordered a balloon bouquet for my sister for the birth of her baby. I ordered them from Interflora as they were the only company that stocked the "Me to You" bear design balloons.
    They cost me £26 in total.
    When they arrived they were actually cheap generic balloons that looked to be worth around £5! I was :mad: to say the least!
    I emailed them through the contact us part of the website, and was told to check their Terms and conditions, saying they had a right to send different items where appropriate, but substitutions would be of equal value. I argued that I didn't view it as equal value. Eventually after about 7 emails in complaint they did refund 50% of what I had paid. IMO that is not enough. I would have been happier if they had either resent the order as I had ordered it, or got it right in the first place.
    They have lost a customer!

    (As for flowers, I order all my flowers from Bunches now, after recieving a bouquet from there which lasted over a month :T )

    So maybe try email via their "Contact us" page, and see if you get anywhere. Good luck!

    Interflora delivered my mum's flowers to the wrong address last Sunday. She only got them because the man who they delivered to in error found them in his garage!

    I've used the website contact us page and I have followed this up by e-mail. Not heard a peep from them yet.

    Mistakes happen, but I would at least expect a response to my complaint and perhaps an apology within a reasonable time. 5 working days is more than enough, so I think I shall be calling them tomorrow.

    P.S - The flowers only lasted 5 days and they died - My mother in law was not impressed. Apparently there were 11 daffoldils, 4 tulips and a couple of gerbaris and that was it...... that is not what I ordered either!
