''great condition'' but has stains??

hiya everyone, i bought something on ebay which arrived this morning,

the item is beige colour but on has a small (about 2-3mm) orange stain on the front and another orange stain on the back this time about a cm big

went back to the listing to check and all it says is ''this has been worn a few times and in great condition'' no mention of the stains. the stains aren't something i would miss if i was selling it.
the item was only £4.70 in total am i just being picky??
what feedback would you leave? would you mention the stains in fb or just give low description stars?
Can you see the mountains through the fog?

  • I'd mention the stains! You've been sold something that doesn't correctly match the description, whats to say that they won't do it again??
  • I just had the same thing, an 'excellent condition' bundle (of washworn, faded and bobbly clothes) Seller not interested, called me a liar, now she has a neg.
If google doesn't know it, how should i?

Just a word of warning. if you want to keep the item check it the stains are removable. Ive had a few items ruined by orange stains that are a result of rust from drying clothes on a radiator. These have proven impossible to remove.

If you dont want to keep the item, contact for a refund or I'd give a neg.

Stained clothes are not in a 'great condition'

ah ok - makes more sense now...!

OP - I would contact the seller, with photos if possible and show her the marks on the item.
Do that before opening a dispute or leaving feedback.

I had the same recently...excellent worn condition....

2 of the 4 tshirts had stains/marks..I took pictures and then washed them to see if they would come out.

Stains didn't come out so contacted the seller and explained but she said she was too busy and would come back to me in a few days.... 2 days went by and didn't hear a thing so I have left her neutral feedback. Maybe that was even too kind...

It sounds very much as if the stains are rust - probably from the item being hung whilst damp on a wire hanger. Don't despair - you can buy "rust stain remover" which is excellent at removing these stains. It's a powder which you sprinkle on the stained area (make it wet first), then you leave it for a while before washing the item as normal. I last bought a tub at Woolies - I would guess you can buy the same thing at Wilkinsons or John Lewis.

Stain Devils have a rust remover one too - but the OP should defo take photos for the seller first, before trying to rectify - and then only try to rectify if you think you will keep it anyway, even if you cant quite get the stain out.

If you now don't think it is worth the money you paid, you should simply return it, as not described.
