Do you mean cancelling a 12 month contract before 12 months have elapsed? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

No No, What I had in mind was a lead to cancel a 12 month contract at the end of 12 months - which shouldn't be that difficult, should it?
I'd come off 3 cos of 'poor service' at 6 mths but completed the 12 mths for redemption purposes - After all it'd cost me nothing really.. and then I'd close the account.
Suffice to say, though I rang to cancel at 10 1/2 months I should have read the instructions when the letter with the PAC code came... yesterday I got zero joy out of 'Customer Services', who, after all, were only acting within 'the box' as dictated by 3 - Sent a steaming email and within 24 hrs got a call back and they have now 'credited' me the extra months payment that I was so furious about.. So in the next two months I'll be shot of 3 forever...
The thing is I've accepted this '*6%!' from Orange before and grimaced but let it go with a £5 'credit'... So this goes on all the time with people that don't have the 'wherewithal' to research and complain efficiently - and it goes into the companies profits and becomes just another part of someone's DEBT jigsaw.
Just doesn't seem right to me, that's all"When your ship comes in you'll be at the airport!" The Mother-in-Law0 -
didn't really understand the point of what you were writing, but this probably summed it up....The_Chooch wrote:I should have read the instructions
how was it their fault, what did they do wrong? you didn't explain
If you didn't read the instructions, sounds like you were at fault not them, and you were lucky to get anything credited back at all0 -
actually to cancel the contract is very easy, you used to have to ring up exactly a month before the end of the contract.
but now you can just ring them up and they will push you hard to get you on another contract, but say no, i just want to cancel it at the end of the term, and that will be done for you.
ring 333 from your 3 mobile for free, and it is easy as...
cheers
