Hi,

I currently have BT broadband. Do you know if I have a static IP address and if so how do I get a dynamic one?

Thanks

You'll almost certainly have a dynamic IP address.

If you wanted a change between dynamic and static you'd need to talk to the ISP. Most wouldn't be prepared to change it although some do offer static as an extra cost option

With some ISPs dynamic IPs turn out to be pretty "sticky" - for example on O2 it will not normally change unless you use a different router.

if you have dynamic, the IP also wouldn't change unless you reset the router or it re-connects to the internet for what ever reason
