The 5% cash back on 1st £2000 spend is only on whole pounds with pence ignored therefore creating a large potential shortfall of cash back

Amex don't hide this. As it says on their web site, "Cashback is earned on virtually every full pound spend per transaction".pragencies wrote: »The 5% cash back on 1st £2000 spend is only on whole pounds with pence ignored therefore creating a large potential shortfall of cash backAre you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

It's only large if you buy lots of small itemstherefore creating a large potential shortfall of cash back
e.g. if you continually buy £1.99 sandwhiches then it will be halved.
You need to use large amounts or item with low pence figures to get the best deal.
It's a bit annoying but still the best deal around by a country mile.0
