iPhone 3G vs 3GS

Is there much difference? I want an iPhone but notice I can get an 8gb 3G for free on £30pm contract, but have to pay £200 for the 3GS. I don't need a huge storage for music as I have an iPod Touch 32gb. I don't want to pay £200 for something I can get for free which is just as good. Any suggestions?

Take a look at the differences, decide if it's worth it.

Personally I don't really use the extra storage, voice control or video recording, but the touch-focus on the camera and the speed make it worthwhile for me. And the compass is useful when it kicks in in Google Maps.

Happy - depends what you want it for?

Extra storage, video footage, better camera, better battery life, alot quicker processing = 3GS

However if you can hold off - the new iphone will probably be out around July time

As Clark80 says, a new model (the gen 4) should be out JUne/July. All the others (should) drop in price as it becomes the new flagship model. Best to wait a couple of months and either get the new one or one of the older ones at a lower cost. . .
