Thanks again Guys & Gals for the kind messages & support.....managed to get a few of nicky's friends across today who've chatted & helped with things, she's also spoken to a doc this morning as well for a little while & feels better since then...the little guy's now out of the crib too & back with her & she's even approached him today & changed a couple of outfits so its getting there slowly....her parents have rang as well and are now on the way down Tuesday hopefully so shouldnt have to go alone for much longer
I'm just really annoyed the way shes been just left & ignored..the staff on the ward are some of the WORSE i've seen in a good for years of working in the NHS
But...hopefully now the little guy being near her so she can pick & touch will help...and the doc said she'd speak to someone about how much longer they would have to stay in the hospital so fingers crossed it'll not be long now then she can come home & relax in her own enviroment along with a comfy bed for the 1st time in over a week
The little guy however....nothing seems to bother him!
Thanks never seems enough really to you guys...the messages of support here & PM & Emails have blown us all away really...I honestly wish I could go and shake every one of your hands to tell you in person how wonderful you are

He's beautiful Phil, it's good Nicky having some friends to see her and her mum and dad coming. I won't tell you what I think about the staff on the ward!!! ( I think you know). Lots of love and strength to you all xxx"If wishes were horses, then beggars would ride"

Ahhh such a sweetie...I am referring to Evan BTW Phil
:D...thats a lovely pic....would make a nice avvie too I think.
Sad that you`ve experienced the problems on the ward but concentrate on going home soon.
I remember how nervous the drive home from the hospital was when my eldest was born...checking & double checking the baby seat was fixed properly & then ultra careful driving....LOL having a baby really changes everything.
Love to Nicky too....don`t worry Hun you`ll be up & about in no time:A :j:j

I sent you my congratulations on FB but it wouldn't feel right if I didn't also tell you here how very happy I am for you and Nicky. I hope poor Amy doesn't feel too left out!
I was in hospital for 10 days after my first was born so I know how you all feel and you just want to get them home.

How did I miss this?!!
Many, many congratulations to you, Nicky and of course baby Evan (love that name).
Being a 1st time mum (and dad I'm sure) is a shock at the best of times, but coping with health issues, a GA, C-section and a wee man who needs some additional care is hard going.
I'm sure Nicky will do just fine once she and little Evan are on an even keel - take each day as it comes.
Once again congratulations to you both - Evan is absolutely adorable.

Hi Phil
You're sounding much brighter today, that's brilliant:). I'm sure Nicky has perked up no end today with having some friends around her and it's great that her parents are arriving on Tuesday - that will help as well.
Take each day as it comes, you're bound to have good and bad days but you know you can always come on here and have a rant if you need to.
Lovely picture of Evan, he's changing daily and is going to be quite a looker, I reckon:)
Love to you all
