Vodafone - upgrade questions.
I am about to phone vodafone to discuss an upgrade. My current contract has now expired and I just want to make sure I am armed with the all the info I can gather before speaking to somebody.
I have 2 options but am not sure which to go for and if I would be allowed to do it.
The first is to try and negotiate a new 18 month contract with a new Samsung Blade phone. The only decent contract that matches the £20 I currently pay includes 300 mins, unlimited texts but no internet included. Would I be able to negotiate this in?
The other option is to go for Sim only as the value is much better and this would allow me to buy my own unlocked phone from elsewhere. Can I switch to a 30 day or 1 year Sim only plan and still keep my own number? I am also confused as there is a £20 Sim only plan for 1yr at £20 which includes 1GB for the internet but when you click on the details it says it is an iphone Sim Card plan. Can this be used in any smartphone or does it have to be an iphone?
Any advice would be appreciated.
