  • Hi, yes you can freeze it as Penelope Penquin said, we have frozen some as well. No problems, i think that you can freeze it for a month. Saves throwing it away.

I bought and open a jar of tahini paste back in the summer. I've just left it in my cupboard and it's fine due all the oil in it!

I freeze my homemade hummus and it's fine. Nver tried freezing tahini but like Melli says, it lasts for ages anyway. I do keep mine in my fridge, though.

As the title suggests really. I have some yummy lemon and coriander houmous which I have been having with crackers as a snack whilst at work. It says on the packaging that I need to eat it within 2 day s of opening so normally I'd think it'd be ok for about 4 days. However, have lots on over the weekend and will definitely not eat it. Don't want it to go off and be wasted hence the question!

    TIA xx

Not according to the packs I get, but I have asked this question before and was told yes, but I never have.

I have frozen it on many occasions, just give it a stir and a little more oil when it is fully defrosted.

    It's fine.

I often freeze it - I never use it up all in time. No negative effects and it's always fine once defrosted, and I've not noticed any difference in taste (thought I've not done a direct comparison).
    Looking forward to the future.
