Poncirus trifoliata is pretty evil - someone commented on ours yesterday.

    Hi,

I had a problem last year with trouble makers getting in my garden, in the end it became a very bad situation. With the advice to others, I used Blackthorn, planted it all along the bottom fence.

They got over the fence once more, left screaming, haven't seen them since!

  • We had trouble with people getting on to a flat roof of a brick built shed at the bottom of our garden in Surrey. So I planted two rambling roses, can't remember the exact variety, but they grew incredibly quickly and it seem to do the job.

I don't think you can grow rottweilers in pots. ;)
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

A flowering quince - although not super fast growing has also got vicious thorns but lovely flowers and bright fresh green foliage.
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

Thanks everyone for all your great tips I am now off to the garden centre to ask them which grow in pots and get my garden safe! Not sure they will sell the landmines though :rotfl:
