Not sure on which of these can be grown in pots but here is a list of plants recommended by the police:

Pyracantha's nice and prickly. Don't know how suitable it is for pots though.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Mahonia can be grown in pots and also gives nice colour with flowers & berries0

Blackthorn is eeeeeeeevvvilll! I have cut loads back and my hands were shredded, even though I used gloves.Clearing debt to save for a simple wedding.Starting 2016 With debt of £77000
