Just one other hting, re reading your last post I wonder if you buy and sell on the same account? If so I would strongly suggest that you run seperate accounts. If thisseller is malicious (and there aren't that many in reality who are) then he could auction wreck to get back at you.
If however your buying and selling accounts were different he wouldn't be able to as he wouldn't be bale to track down your other ID.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If you do sell then make sure you block him so he can't bid maliciously.
Did the message come via your e-bay messages or as a straight e-mail. I would be letting e-bay see that he is trying to complete the transaction outside of e-bay if that is what he is suggesting

This sounds a bit dodgy to me. How does that ebayer know so much about the ebay rules when they were new and never verified their account. You could try contacting ebay and just let them know your concerns and that that person has threatened to to either pay up or they will get ebay to put a strike against you. I think you did the right thing. It could have been a scam for all you know or it could have arrived damaged and you wouldn't be able to report them without an address.0

*bit in bold*
Not really much the buyer can do as the seller is within their rights to request payment or open a NPB dispute, ebay would have just ignored it most likely.0 -
£175 for an iPhone is ridiculously cheap - even broken iPhones are selling for more than £200. Looks dodgy to me. He can't leave you negative feedback - if you want to avoid the non paying strike, explain you'll do a mutual cancellation and he'll get his fees back.

It's your money and you have to protect it. However, I can understand why the seller is !!!!ed off. Your reasons for backing out of the sale (i.e no seller feedback, email address not verified and anything else which sounds 'dodgy') were all apparent when you bid for the item in the first place. I can understand deciding not bid or buy from the seller for these reasons, but I don't really understand why you would bid, buy, complete the purchase and then decide that it looks suspect. Having said that, a single strike against you shouldn't cause too much of a problem, so I wouldn't worry about that. You certainly shouldn't feel threatened or forced into handing over the money.0

do you mean his email address is not registered to paypal yet or hasn't connected it to ebay or whatever? Not sure what you mean there!
Anyway,if he is registered with paypal and you pay through ebay then you would be protected anyway as could get the funds back if he didn't send the phone (even easier it seems with him being a new seller as they would hold the funds for the phone until you either gave feedback, let paypal know that the tracked delivery had arrived or when 21 days are up)
So,if it's all done properly and paid through ebay it would be fine.
Either make sure he has his paypal registered and pay or come to a mutual agreement. He does sound pretty desperate for the money though lolIf women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -

You can have as many accounts as you want, and at the very least users should seperate buying and selling.
The only thing stopping me thinking this is a scam is the fact that the seller is being very persistent int rying to get a sale. usually scammers will move on as soon as they are confronted.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
