I have received a nasty letter from o2 mobile saying I have gone over their unlimited £1 Web daily and I could have a bar preventing data use.

They suggest I sign up to the £7.50 monthly bolt on, but really how is that going to help when that is not unlimited as it says it is !!! ???

How to people get on with Iphones and forever adding stuff ?? I use my phone via my home modem or library to download apps etc.

I thought paying £1 you would get more leway as prorata 4* more than the monthly bolt on.

Maybe a bit of a tangent but...why on earth would you choose to do a £1 daily 1mb package when the £7.50 bolt on at minimum is 750-1000mb+ for 7.50?! That doesn't make any logical sense to me.
    LBM 2 - 27.05.09. Debt was £33224 + 1100:eek: OD.
    Car - was - [STRIKE]20867[/STRIKE] - now - Gone! :T Zopa - was [STRIKE]6800[/STRIKE] -now - Gone loan - was [STRIKE]1687 [/STRIKE]- now Gone! :T Student Loan - was [STRIKE]1850 [/STRIKE] - now gone!! - Barclay Card was -[STRIKE] £2000[/STRIKE] now - Gone OD - was 1100 - now - 900
    Total - £0 :rotfl: + OD = 100% paid!!!

Your post makes very little sense. And why was the letter 'nasty'? What have iPhones got to do with it?

    £1 daily = £30/31 per month.

    £7.50 plan = £7.50 per month.

    This is a no-brainer, surely?

Its because the £1 daily bolt on isn't a daily recurring one.

When you opt in for it it last just for that 1day,
and so if you only want to use internet 1day per week then you just opt on those 4days per month and so only pay £4. :o

Change to Orange PAYG. As well as 300 texts, you'll get 50mb for free if you top up £10. Also, no mobile provider does unlimited browsing, they all have a limit.

I am a very infrequent user of o2 mobile internet. Cust serv said don't worry about any fair use policy as you would get a warning text if you are using it too much.

I had a text 2 days after my over use then this letter from credit n risk management 6 days later. I have only used the service twice this month and. I used it for emails etc. whilst I was without BB.

I just wondered how Iphone custs got on because they must use loads of data cos 500 mb isn't much

500MB IS a lot of mobile data, remember you don't tend to download a lot when out, and apps tend to be small and be bought on a PC then transferred rather than over the air.

It does not follow you are only using email and hit such a limit. Whats probably in place is a much lower limit for the per day session, but what that is I don't know. maybe as low as 10 to 20 MB a day

500 meg *is* a lot, in terms of mobile browsing - at 500k per webpage as a rough average, you're looking at 1000 web pages, maybe 50k per email - 10,000 emails - even at a 5 meg app, you could still download 100 of the things..

Anyway, most iPhones are on specific tariffs with high data allowance...
